Old school playground...

While at our cottage house this past week we found this park in town...it reminded me so much of the playgrounds we use to go to! The had all the old rides - we stayed for a couple hour and had so much fun!

Aidan was so brave to go on this slide...it was so tall. I got a little nervous for him, but he did it!

My favorite - we used to have a merry-go-round at the grammar school I went to (Southwest). I remember trying to get it to go so fast someone would fall off...I wonder why you never see these at parks anymore? :-)

I had the privilege of spending time with these two little cuties a couple of weeks ago - they were so sweet together! You can definately tell they are buddies.

Kelly - your kiddos are adorable and I had so much fun with them! Your "grandma grandma's" yard is beautiful!

Aunt Dolores

My aunt Dolores (actually my mom's aunt) passed away last week. Aunt Dolores was one of those super cool moms. She raised 5 boys - so I think she had to be! She and my uncle endured the tragic loss of a child and handled it with far more grace than I could imagine. I have many fond memories of holidays spent at her house. We had so much fun!

She was a kind, compassionate and super witty woman. I so admired her strength and her faith. She will be missed, but I know she is in good company with Jimmy and my dad!

My cousin Amanda got married over the 4th of July weekend. We had such a great time at the wedding and I got some really fun shots!
