Lucas LOVES the show Super Why, so for an early birthday present we had a little "date night" and went to see Super Why at the Chicago Theater with my friend Traci and her kids. Lucas was so excited - we took the el downtown, so that thrilled him. The show was great - they really did a great job! He was exhausted when we got home, but he had a night I hope he will always remember. Pictures below are from my phone, so they are terrible quality, but I still want to post them.

Cousins...
Lucas and I got to have some play time at my cousin Debra's house on Tuesday. Baby Colin is about 2.5 weeks old, so I wanted to get some pics of him and Lucas always loves hanging out with Abigail!
Abigail is such a doting big sister...
And this little man couldn't be any cuter!
and I simply love this last one...
We hope to get in a few more play dates before Debra has to go back to work!

Fireman Sam...
Lucas loves this Canadian cartoon called "Fireman Sam" and insists he is going to be a fireman when he is big. I recently got him a fireman costume and he won't take it off - he LOVES it!
Update: He recently got some new firetruck rainboots and won't take them off!

Basketball...
Aidan had a great time this winter playing basketball for the Jefferson Park District. It was amazing how much he improved during the season and he even got his first trophy! He loved it so much we got him a basketball hoop for his birthday, and most warm days so far after school he is out there practicing. Nate and I are loving the basketball hoop as well...we are only slightly competitive...

Aidan's school "Spring" picture...
Since when did they start taking school pictures twice a year? I swore I wasn't going to order any (after all, I take his picture a few times throughout the year as well....) :-)
However, they got me...it was too cute not to purchase!

Water park (Timber Ridge)
So instead of a big vacation for Spring Break this year we decided to scale back and do two nights at a water park instead....ALL my boys enjoyed this trip (I actually did too...).
Amy, Derrill and Vivi joined us, along with our friend Traci and her two kiddos. The first night there we bumped into my friend Michelle and her family as well, so the boys had lots of kids to play with. There were two really big waterslides...once Max (Michelle's son, 9 yrs old) got there Aidan didn't give Nate or I the time of day - he and Max took off and must have went down each slide 20 times! Amy had a little Easter egg hunt in her room for the kids and they had a blast.
The resort was really nice - it was located in Lake Geneva and was a beautiful property. There was a trolley to take you around to different locations and the boys loved it! Here are some highlights:

Easter egg hunt!
The sign of a good trip...Aidan scratched his chin on the bottom of the pool!
Overall, we had a GREAT time!
