Aidan has decided that if he has to get himself dressed that he gets to pick out his own clothes. Oh boy, here we go. For the most part I don't think this is a battle I will fight - maybe only on school days and church days...other than that I am excited to see him express his own individuality and creativity...I will post as many of those funky days as I can so we can remember. Here we go....

Since I took this picture he has added socks...two different colors of course....

Volcano!

I am a little behind on my posts these days. Last week we had spring break - we had a few hiccups, but for the most part we had a great week. One highlight of the week was making a volcano and watching it erupt.

They DO like each other!

We had a gorgeous day here yesterday so the boys and I went out for a little hike in the forest preserve. They had so much fun - Aidan even spotted a raccoon, so he was on the hunt after that. Lucas just wanted to do everything his big brother did - and they got along so well....LOVE....

I had my camera (big surprise) and snapped some fun pics...

I'm so glad my boys got their dad's amazing blue eyes! Aidan loves posing for pictures these days...Lucas, not so much.

I love these last two...the look on Aidan's face is hilarious...and I just love the shadow pic of the boys looking in the river. Lucas went bananas at all the ducks. Next time we'll have to bring some bread to feed them...I think Lucas would probably jump right in with them if I let him!

I'm working on a fun photo project for my business...these pics were part of it. It's top secret for now, but I promise to share soon!

A new haircut...

I believe it is a rite of passage of some sort to cut your own hair...

He did a great job...even has a bald spot. He was so sad after he looked in the mirror, he really thought he had done a good job. I couldn't stop laughing. Probably not my best Mom moment...

May be time for a buzz cut!

Easter

After an amazing Easter Service at South Park Church (you know the kind, where the church is packed and the music is so loud you can sing like you are a rock star and no one can really hear how truly off key you are) we headed over to my Mom's for Easter brunch and had a great time. Aidan had a little more competition with the Easter egg hunt this year - Debra and Jason came over with Abigail. It is so nice for Lucas to have a cousin so close in age!

Overall it was a great day!
