Funny little man....

This kid...

So sweet and funny.  He has a love/hate with volcanoes.  I bought him a book that he loves.  Then I thought we'd get creative and build our own volcano....oh no - he wants no part of it.  Told me to bring it back to the volcano store.  Silly boy.

He looks so grown up to me just hanging out in the picture below.  Soon he will be in school full and I will miss these fun little moments....

Love these...

I love the Garfield Park Conservatory...the lighting there is just amazing.  I captured these images on a recent visit there.  Something about these plants and their texture -I just love it!

Winter 2013-2014....Snow and COLD....

This winter in Chicago has been like no other - or not like one we have had in a long time!  Snow storm after snow storm - we have no where else to put all this snow! We are loving the snow part of it, but just not the arctic bitter cold - school has been canceled four times due to the cold (-17 one day even!)   Needless to say, we are ready for some warmer weather soon....

Seven.

Happy birthday to my dear first born son!  Seven year old - it seems like yesterday you were born, yet hard to remember my life without you in it....

You are funny, smart, determined, fiercely loyal, independent, kind and you keep me on my toes.  To the Moon and Back baby!

Always - XOXO

Celebrating...

Aidan had a busy few days celebrating his birthday.  He started with a bowling party with a few of his classmates - it was cosmic bowling, so the pictures aren't very good.  He had a blast!

That night we had a family party with as many as could make it.  We've had some unbelievable snow storms this year and our family from the 'burbs couldn't make it in.  Because of that, they came the next weekend, so his birthday seemed to last forever!  Lots of legos and fun later we have finally stopped celebrating!

Leave it to Auntie Kris...handcuffs....seriously?  :-)

One of his many Lego creations....Prediking....
And lastly, an appropriate thank you card for Aidan...spelled out in Legos!
