Osama Bin Laden is dead

(Photo courtesy of Kris Hogan's facebook page...not sure where she stole it from... ;-)

The news and Facebook are all a buzz...everyone putting in their two cents about Osama Bin Laden being dead...some happy...some worried about retaliation... some thinking we shouldn't be celebrating...and others trying to make it a Republican/Democrat issue...ugh.

I believe it is a time for celebration. Not because the death of any man is ever a good thing, but because the people he would have continued to kill will survive. Mothers that would have lost their sons/daughters to this man’s future attacks will never have to see that day.

I think the real celebration will be when all of our troops come home and this war (that we can't possibly win) is over. I hope we get to see that soon and really celebrate.

But for now, as many a Facebooker has said today, "And he thought the desert was hot..."

Just my two cents.
